Identical twins as different as tofu and truffles.

Their  zany romps sometimes

END IN MURDER!

Silver-haired Mae West look-alikes, born on different days, different months, different years and different decades.   Impossible?  Not at all.

GODIVA OLIVIA DuBOIS

Born before midnight on New Year Eve 1949

GOLDIE SILVER

Born just after midnight on New Years Day 1950.

These funny, inquisitive amateur sleuths are the children of once-famous vaudeville magicians HARRY and FLOSSIE SILVER.  Growing up in a very quirky "show-biz" family, occasionally they communicate with "twin ESP" and think nothing of it.

But, it really comes in handy when they team up to solve mysteries or murders.

READ ON FOR MORE ABOUT GOLDIE AND GODIVA

GOLDIE SILVER, an aging hippie, lives in Juneau, Alaska with her husband "Red" Pepper, a cruise ship captain.

She has a sweet, giving personality--cautious but level headed and is the proprietor of the Silver Spoon Antique Shoppe.

Like her mother FLOSSIE, GOLDIE believes strongly in astrology and tarot cards and tends to be just a bit psychic. She dresses in layers of vintage clothes that GODIVA says look like tablecloths and Goodwill.

Her daughter CHILI, a beautiful girl with flaming red hair and a degree from Cordon Bleu, is an aspiring chef. Her flamboyant mother-in-law BELLE PEPPER, is a wealthy Juneau character rumored to have made her money as a madam back in the day.

In A CORPSE IN THE SOUP, GOLDIE travels to Beverly Hills when her twin GODIVA is accidentally poisoned on a TV cooking show by CAESAR ROMANO, a contender in the Gourmet Gladiators Tournament.  GOLDIE is the organizer when the sisters later romp through Hollywood in search of a killer.

GODIVA OLIVIA DuBOIS is a wealthy Beverly Hills widow with a keen taste for designer clothes.  She lives on an estate with the twin's widowed Jewish mother, FLOSSIE, their cantakerous UNCLE STERLING, her son TORCH  who is a Hollywood FX man specializing in pyrotechnics and WALDO THE WONDER DOG.

Unlike her sister GOLDIE, she is selfish and manipulative. Recently GODIVA's popular advice column, Ask G.O.D., went from a small feature in the Beverly Hills Balbbermouth to a fully syndicated column.

She complains about the avalanche of mail that syndication brought, but she loves the notoriety of being a celebrity. FLOSSIE and STERLING try to help but she really needs an assistant.

In A CORPSE IN THE SOUP, she lures CHILI to California with tickets to Flirting With Food.   Instead of helping GODIVA, CHILI is hired as Chef Caesar Romano's helper.  Rivalry boils over during the Gourmet Gladiators Tournament and she and GOLDIE become involved in helping to solve a murder
